Please NOTE: As of June 1st, 2011 the Squamish Trail Running Club has now split into 2 separate components. This is due to the heavy summer race schedule and local events that take place. We thank you for your patience as we look to devleop this club the best way possible!
1) Weekday run classes now fall under the regular C3 classes of programming and memberships. Please see Trail Run Classes for full details.
2) Weekend runs will now be informal get togethers and no membership is required. These sessions are un-coached and will purely focus on getting a group of runners out to simply share and enjoy the trails with. The role of CBC will simply be to continue to build a running community here in Squamish.

To provide opportunities to bring runners together for group training sessions while receiving world class coaching for performance improvement.
To facilitate and support individuals who want to experience the enjoyment of local trail running races.
To increase people's confidence and trail running abilities. Experience the "Pura Vida" of trail running.
To have a good time on the trails running together and sharing in trail running adventures.

Summer Focus:
Continue to group together with local runners and share longer summer runs with.
Meet at new and different trail heads.
Preparation for the 5 Peaks Trail Running Series and Comfortably Numb 25km Trail Race.
Participate in one of the relay races this summer - STORMY and the WHISTLER RELAY.
Weekend Classes:
Upon arriving at the meeting location, we will split into various abilities and pace groups. The focus is on endurance development and building the aerobic energy system. Enjoy a steady state "long" run with a group. We will aim to pair people up based on run ability.
Pre Requisites for pace groups:
We suggest that you are able to comfortably run approximately 8km before coming out to a weekend run. Pace does not matter. This is for your own safety.

When you see a group run posted on Facebook, just come on out and enjoy!
IMPORTANT:
Challenge by Choice or its staff will no longer be responsible for members during these weekend runs! These will be INFORMAL SOCIAL gatherings in which you must come prepared to be on the trails as you do so at your own risk. Any person can take the lead and organize a group run with each runner participating as they wish.
Challenge by Choice and its staff will now ONLY be coaching the weekday runs where by members MUST sign in to each class and have signed all the necessary forms BEFORE participation!
To JOIN:
1) Visit the DOWNLOADS section of the website, print and complete the 3 STANDARD Forms.
2) Come on by the studio to purchase your membership, please bring forms with you.
3) Become a FAN of the Challenge by Choice FACEBOOK page and the Squamish Trail Run Club FACEBOOK page and find out where we are meeting at.
4) Sign in via the SCHEDULE page to each session so that we know you are coming! Once you have an active pass, you are able to sign in for the session.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR - Squamish's Loop the Lakes Trail Race will be back in 2011. Details coming soon. Jen has taken over as the RD and you will see this family friendly Fall trail run return late September/early October!!!
