Loop the Lakes Run Clinics
Trail Running Squamish
4 Weeks of awesomeness!
“Specifically getting you ready for race day while
preparing you to tackle any trail.”
A trail running clinic to get you ready for the 2016 Loop the Lakes race day presented by RUN SQUAMISH. We live with a network of amazing trails in our backyard, why not run them, train on them and make trail running something that you can enjoy for the rest of your life. Our 2016 clinic will be taught by elite runner and trail coach Dave Melanson. Dave will be sharing with you everything he knows about running through the woods while at the same time, teaching you how to move efficiently, tackle hills, run the trails with correct form and technique, breathe and be ready for race day with a game plan and strategy in place. The training will serve as a great orientation to the Loop the Lakes course but you will walk away with an increase in fitness, new knowledge and the confidence to keep running off-road!
April 13th – May 4th
ADVANCED 6pm – 7:15pm
FOCUS: An orientation to the Loop the Lakes Race Course while learning specific trail running techniques and training methodology. Improve fitness, trail knowledge and skills such as ascending and descending on both technical and varied grades.
What Level of a runner are you?
ADV: You will likely tackle the 15km or 21km course. You can run comfortably for 1hr on rolling to hilly terrain.
All your hard work will be applicable to ALL and ANY future races and training that you do! We will run a set route each week with a focused goal to the workout (ex – climbing or descending) which will provide opportunity for individual correction and detection.
Contact Us to reserve your spot and note what race distance you’d like to train for and your run ability level. Complete the online forms found HERE if you are new to CBC training. Visit the SCHEDULE page which will re-direct you to the workshops tab where you can pay and reserve your place.
